ABOUT US

INSPIRED YOGIS INSPIRE YOGIS

Howe2Yoga is a collective of seasoned yoga teachers who wish to make yoga more accessible and inclusive.  We recognize that cost, location and sometimes just finding the time can be obstacles to a regular yoga practice.  The good news is you can get a great yoga practice from the comfort of your home. Bliss is only a couple of clicks away.

We’re here for you, on your terms.  If you love doing yoga in your P.J.s, with a cup of coffee next to your mat, with your human babies or your fur babies waltzing around, it’s all good.  This is the yoga of real life, with all its distractions and silliness.  The best part is that there’s no commute, no traffic and no line ups.

We look forward to being part of your yogic journey.

LAURIE HOWE

Laurie took her first yoga teacher training at Kripalu and has been teaching since 2005.  Laurie loves to teach all manner of Hatha yoga, which means anything from slow flow to power yoga, and her inviting personality helps create a safe, accessible, accepting space for yogis at all levels.  Laurie is one of Ottawa’s most experienced yoga teacher trainers, having certified over 300 yoga teachers, including Stéphane and Phil.

STÉPHANE IPPERSIEL

Stéphane earned his Power Yoga Teacher certification in 2011 and has been teaching since.  Stéphane has trained in many different styles and modalities but focuses primarily on Hatha and Yin.  His teaching style is down-to-earth and places an emphasis on mindfulness and body awareness.

PHILIPPE LANDEL

Phil became a certified yoga teacher in 2012.  Since then he has earned a reputation as a powerful yoga teacher and movement evangelist.  Phil’s yogic journey has guided him to value more the subtler aspects of the practice, helping him to identify, understand and modify long-standing patterns.

RICHARD HUDSPITH

Richard’s passion is to teach people the functionality of their own body so they can learn to relax their muscles and feel comfortable in their body.  He believes that once we learn and understand what it feels like to be relaxed, it becomes easy to return to that sensation, even when we feel tired, stressed or tense.  His goal is to help his students become self-sustaining in their own body and learn to walk with a little swagger.

ANATHÈLE ZAMOR

Anathèle has been passionate about yoga for the past dozen years. In 2019, she finally took the plunge and completed her Hatha yoga teacher training. She has since completed additional training and certifications including those for power yoga (Baptiste style), chair yoga, paddleboarding yoga, accessible yoga, restorative yoga and Yin Yoga.

Anathèle has found in yoga not only a wellness practice, but also a wonderful community of people that want to make the world a better place. Yoga has become for Anathèle not only a way of life, but also a way to connect with herself and others. She hopes to make this practice accessible and inspiring for all, because sharing the healing practice of yoga is very meaningful to her.

DIANE GAGNON

Diane first discovered yoga as a means to complement her running. Following an injury, Diane chose to weave yoga more tightly into her life, bringing healing to her mind and body. Becoming a teacher felt like a natural step to take in her yogic path, to share with others the numerous benefits of yoga. She practices and teaches Vinyasa flow yoga, where the breath, the body and the mind come together to create a state of peace, contentment and well-being.

JEN MURAKAMI

Jen has been practising yoga since 2013. At first her practice was purely physical, but it wasn't too long before she began practising meditation daily. Asana and meditation both helped Jen to reconnect with her body, mind, and spirit—and a longing to live a more yogic life followed. In 2021, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Howe2Yoga and is currently finishing up her 300hr YTT with Embody Yoga's Roots. She has also completed chair yoga training, accessible asana training, and will complete training on seniors and healthy aging.  Jen's practice includes noticing and appreciating moments of joy in each day, especially the tough ones.  Jen finds many of these joyful moments on her yoga mat and her meditation cushion. She hopes you will, too!
